Green Ice Cream

Saturday afternoon John, Keegan and I walked to The Green Store. This unique gift shop is directly on Trout Lake, and a favourite with North Bay residents. The parking lot is always full, and no wonder.

Besides offering a great array of unique products for the home or cottage, there are ample Adirondack chairs to get comfy, plus it also sports an ice cream parlor. I went with Pralines 'n Cream while John downed the chocolate. Mmm! And fyi, I decided the title for this post would incorporate The Green Store and our ice cream...hence the Green Ice Cream!

Keegan waited patiently at my feet while we snarfed down, um, I mean, savoured our treat.

From there we walked along the back of the store. The huge dock is often busy during the summer as boaters arrive to drop off passengers at the store. Not only are there Adirondack chairs at the front of the building, they're at the back, too.

Fast forward to Sunday, and John opted to set out the table and chairs on the deck. While he was there he spotted a deer on the lake, and pointed it out to Keegan. (If you look very carefully you can see a dot on the lake. That's the deer.)

Pretty soon, however, they were both back at work. Almost as soon as they finished, the clouds moved in and the temperature dropped. Still, I'm not complaining. Spring is sprung. Whohoo!
