St. Andrews Waterfront Farmer's Market

Saturday mornings are synonymous with farmers markets and this morning we checked out the St. Andrews Waterfront Farmers Market that is in Panama City. First booth we hit was Sweet Betty's. If I'd known earlier, I'd have skipped breakfast because Betty Brown (below) makes incredible homemade delights.

We decided on a Maple Truffle, wedge of Key Lime Fudge, and some Old Fashioned Potato Candy. That last item is a southern favourite, Betty explained, and no wonder. It's delicious. And yes, it really is made of potato. These are the ingredients: "potato, sugar, peanut butter, salt and flavourings".

The plate below contains the potato candy (the swirls), while the key lime fudge cubes are displayed in the middle. The Maple Truffle, I'm afraid, is a no show. John ate it for lunch. ALL. OF. IT. :)

There were veggies, too.

Items for the home...

On a side street we stumbled upon the Little Village shop. It had fun items, trinkets, rugs, planters, etc. for the home and garden. It's also where we spotted a flying pig.

All in all, it was a fun way to spend a Saturday morning!
