Happy Trails in Havelock

More snow fell on the weekend and while I'm ready for spring, the additional four inches of white stuff did cover that layer of ice that's everywhere and has made outings this past week so treacherous.

Yesterday John explored a little further afield, and with Holly and Maya by his side he went for a hike along a skidoo trail off Bowen Road.

Winters in southern Ontario are grey and in my mind dreary, which must be why I love the warm oranges in the leaves above, and Holly's red collar just pops in the photo.

They walked as far as this marshy area, and arrived home two hours after they left. Not surprising, both pups had an afternoon nap. Maya breathes quite heavily, while Holly actually snores. It's a canine symphony for sure, and fun times in Havelock.

Life is good!
