Juice Among Friends

Time flies when you're having fun and the past six weeks have flown by for us and Keegan's owners. If they'd had any fears of their little boy ignoring them upon their return, I'm pretty sure that vanished as soon they walked in the door. Keegan literally jumped into Craig's arms, and he gave Deb so many puppy kisses she had to remove her glasses. He stayed close to them all evening, and in my book that's exactly how a reunion should play out!

We chatted late into the evening, viewing vacation photos and tales of their Mexican vacation. The next best thing to actually travelling to exotic places is talking about travelling to exotic locales. FUN TIMES!

Sunday morning Deb instructed us on the fine art of juicing. She made a delicious combo of lemon, celery and apple. Sweet and refreshing, it disappeared before I could snap a photo. SO, Deb figured I should give it a go. Having had only one cup of coffee, it took me awhile to get the gist. Craig cracked everyone up when he suggested I keep my fingers away from the blades, and naturally John told me to back away from the machine. NOW!

He, of course, mastered the process in no time. His concoction featured carrot, cucumber, celery and spinach. Both juices were tasty, filling and nutritious. Thanks, Deb, for another fun, educational and delicious experience.

All good things, however, must end, and after breakfast we packed up our belongings and said goodby to Keegan. It goes without saying we'll miss him, but we're excited because we return to North Bay in April when Deb and Craig take off to fulfill yet another adventure on their bucket list. (Thank you for asking us back. We can't wait.)

To sum up, what's the best thing about housesitting? Without a doubt it's meeting strangers who fast become friends.

Life. Is. Good.
