Happy Halloween - Salem Style

While we spent just a few hours in Salem, MA, the sights and sounds of this community continue to linger. Take for instance Derby Street. Within a few hundred feet there's enough to impress tourist and resident alike, as well as satisfy their hunger. Above is the Witch's Brew Cafe. Below is a salmon colored building,  home to a restaurant/pub called In a Pig's Eye.

Beside it are three more buildings. The brown one is home to the Purple Scorpion, a body piercing and tattoo parlor. Dave Eng's Flowers is in the pink building. See that crowd of people? I wondered what they were looking at...

So, I crossed the street and came face to face with this...

How's that for an impressive Halloween display?! Best of all was this bathtub scene reminiscent of the movie, Psycho.

Yike! Moving on to the next building, things returned to normal. This is Ye Olde Pepper Companie, home of America's oldest candy company.

Which reminds me...I should stop eating all the Halloween candy I bought for the kids!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
