On day four of our Lake Superior adventure we left Nipigon and drove eastward to Wawa. Once again, we were in no rush and stopped to admire the amazing views and/or stretch our legs whenever the mood struck.
This day, however, was quite different weather wise to the previous two, but the dramatic skies served to remind us that autumn is in the air and hinted at what's to come.
A new Google Maps feature I quite like on my iPhone is the added location embedded onto every photo I take. It certainly helps both my short term and long term memory as well. 😉

Upon our arrival in Marathon I bundled up before venturing onto the beach. In hindsight it wasn't really necessary, but hey, we are on the north shore of Lake Superior in September and better safe than sorry. ;)

Continuing our drive eastward on the Trans Canada Highway we drove straight through White River, but waved to Winnie the Pooh and admired the scenery the rest of the way to Wawa.

Our final stop of the day was the Algoma Motel in Wawa. It's basic, but clean and comfortable with wifi. Plus, in the morning they serve freshly baked blueberry muffins with coffee. What a delicious way to begin the day.
By the time we arrived at the motel the skies had cleared and the temperature comfortable enough that we opted to sit outside our unit. There, we enjoyed a beverage and light snack while playing Scrabble.
All in all, another lovely day and every single moment thoroughly enjoyed by all!
